Darlene Gerstmyer is a partner in the firm. She developed and supervises the firm’s internal audit services. She also manages independent audit engagements for commercial banks and credit unions.
A graduate of the Loyola College class of 1985, Darlene holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Accounting. She has also taken graduate studies in finance at Loyola. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants, and the Association of Fraud Examiners. As a member of the MACPA, Darlene served on the Cooperation with Financial Institutions Committee and chaired the Women’s Career Issues Committee.
Darlene enjoys teaching and has developed and presented various accounting educational programs for credit unions through the Delaware and Maryland Credit Union Leagues. She has appeared as a speaker at a national conference discussing the importance of internal controls. A fan of musical theater, Darlene participates in community theater and has appeared in a number of productions with the Mt. Carmel Players.
Darlene and her husband spend much of their free time with their children. They are active in their Church, serving in various capacities. Darlene and her husband are actively involved with the annual gala for Archbishop Curley High School . Darlene is the immediate past treasurer for the Immaculate Heart of Mary School’s Home and School Association.
