Edward C. Beyer, MBA, CPA

Ed Beyer is a partner in the firm.  He supervises all tax services to the firm’s clients.  Ed is also involved in audit and accounting services to commercial banks and employee benefit plans, accounting and consulting services to small businesses, business valuations, and administration of the firm's continuing education and pension benefits programs.

In 1976, Ed received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Loyola College in Maryland.  He earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Loyola in 1980.  He has completed the AICPA National Banking School and the NACVA training and testing as a Certified Valuation Analyst.

Ed taught Introductory Accounting for 10 years at The Johns Hopkins University.  He has served as speaker or discussion leader on various accounting, auditing, and income tax topics for the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants, Maryland Credit Union League, First National Bank of Maryland, Financial Managers Society, the National Association of Bank Women, and the Internal Revenue Service.  His articles have been published by the MACPA and two credit union leagues.  He has written responses to readers’ tax questions published by The Sun.

Ed has served on the Loyola College Department of Accounting Advisory Board and its Curriculum Development Committee.  He is a director and treasurer of Foundation for Baltimore County Public Library , Inc.  He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants, and the Baltimore Estate Planning Council.  He has served on the MACPA Audit Standards Committee, Peer Review Committee, Accounting Standards Committee, Federal Taxation Committee, and Professional Ethics Committee.
