We are a well-established, growing accounting firm with offices in Baltimore and Salisbury, Maryland. We serve a diverse range of financial institutions, manufacturing companies, wholesale and retail businesses, professional firms, and not-for-profit organizations in Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.

Our firm has five partners and a professional and administrative staff of approximately 20. All professionals are either CPAs or CPA candidates, and several have also obtained graduate degrees.

Each year we seek outstanding college graduates who have performed well academically and also indicate strong potential for leadership and professional growth.

Staff accountants who demonstrate ability and initiative can expect advancement and increased responsibility after one or two years of experience.

We give strong support to the continuing education of our professionals. We pay the tuition for a CPA examination review course for each professional. We encourage accountants to pursue advanced degrees in areas of specialization useful to the firm and to their own personal growth. Our professionals also receive continuing professional education through in-house seminars and courses conducted by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA). We encourage staff accountants to attend other seminars that can promote their advancement in the firm.

One of the greatest advantages Rowles & Company offers its professional staff is breadth of experience. As a staff accountant, you will perform a wide range of services for a variety of clients. You will perform a full spectrum of work assignments to develop your proficiency in auditing, tax, and management advisory services, and to provide a broad foundation for increasing responsibilities in the future. From this broad base of experience, professionals may choose, in time, to specialize in areas of particular interest.

We also seek individuals who are more than just good accountants. We encourage staff to join professional and civic organizations in which they have an interest, because we believe well-rounded people make the best staff members. Our firm is well represented in professional organizations and various AICPA and MACPA committees, and in many community organizations.

Our commitment to timely, thoroughly professional service requires staff members who can function smoothly as part of a team. That same team spirit often carries over into activities outside of the office. Staff members relax together at gatherings such as the annual end-of-tax-season outing, a mid-summer crab feast, a Christmas party, and dinner celebrations honoring successful CPA exam candidates.
