Incited by tragedy, Angel Park is a silver lining to Kelli and Andy Szczybor who lost their baby boy, Ryan. Angel Park is a new all-inclusive playground and amphitheater facility in Perry Hall, Maryland that will be built so that kids with special needs can easily enjoy playing there. The community will build and support the park. With ramps instead of stairs and without mulch to ensnare wheelchairs, it will be a destination where all families can gather, laugh, and enjoy activities.
5k Race and 1 Mile Family Fun Run: On Sunday, August 14, 2016, there was a 5k run and one mile walk held to raise funds to go towards the building of Angel Park. The event was held at 8:30 am at Perry Hall Park in Perry Hall, Maryland. As part of our commitment to the community,
Rowles & Company, LLP sponsored a water stop along the course so that participants could grab a cup of water to keep hydrated during the 5k.
Congratulations to Ashley Seeley, who finished second place for females in her age group! She took 50th place overall out of 288 participants in the 5k course. She came in at 25 minutes and 55 seconds, averaging an 8 minute and 22 second mile.
Joe Musumeci took fifth place for males in his age group and 30th place overall. He came in at 23 minutes and 40 seconds, averaging a 7 minute and 38 second mile.
The entire team enjoyed the event and had fun out in the sun raising money for a great cause. We hope to participate again next year!
